KC-based Tirza Design opens store on Country Club Plaza

KANSAS Town, Mo. — A Kansas Town-centered jewellery and way of living accessories company will open its doorways on Saturday, May possibly 14 on the Place Club Plaza.

Tirza Design, which describes by itself as a “survivor-manufactured jewellery and components life style brand,” is established to take over the Plaza area earlier occupied by the Kate Spade retail outlet at 321 Nichols Street.

In a release Wednesday, the retail outlet reported its jewellery and add-ons will be produced by survivors of human trafficking, exploitation and other forms of abuse.

“We are fired up to carry recognition to our mission of supporting survivors with our first Tirza Layout locale,” owner Nikkie Affholter said in the Wednesday push launch. “The shop will provide domestically crafted and handmade jewelry, ceramics, dwelling products, and presents designed by survivors and for survivors as very well as a high-conclusion consignment store that supports searching in an intentional way.”

In a follow-up e-mail, Affholter reported she begun the firm in 2020 just after she noticed females victims of trafficking, abuse and exploitation “desperate” for a risk-free position and seeking to deliver for them selves through their recovery.

The organization suggests a percentage of all proceeds are turned all around into donations to nonprofit corporations such as HopeCityKC, Restoration Dwelling KC and Exodus Cry.
