SAGINAW, MI – A home located in Saginaw Township with a backyard view of Swan Creek is listed for sale at $449,900.

The custom built home, located at 2500 Van Wormer Road, sits on nearly five acres of land and features 3,559 square feet of living space.

The home built in the 1970s was designed by and for architect Daniel Toshach, who worked with famed mid-century modern architect Alden B. Dow.

Toshach’s house features built-in storage and furniture, a loft overlooking the living room, an “en suite” apartment with a private entrance, lots of space for entertaining and much more.

It also includes four bedrooms, three full bathrooms and one half bathroom.

Toshach’s stepson, Paul Beard, and Realtor Brooke Bickerstaff of Keller Williams Preferred gave MLive a tour of the home, which has never been sold before.

“This is the first time it has changed hands,” Bickerstaff said, noting it will appeal to a buyer who appreciates its design and history. “It’s hard to find another house just like this one.”

Bickerstaff added, “It’s a peaceful house.”
